Overall the Phantom is a fine evolution of one of the best value for money GPS devices on the market. It's portable, easy to fit in your pocket, has a clear display and the addition of the Bite magnet adds to its versatility of use and placement on your golf kit, even if you will have to be more wary about knocking it off. Combined with one of Bushnell's excellent lasers like the Tour V4 slope then you should be on the mark for all the distance information you need.
In terms of overall usability the Pro XE was fantastic, and the laser itself was the best I have ever used. As always with Bushnell you get a product which looks and feels premium, and performed well with quick, easy and precise yardages. Add in the new app too and you should have pretty much everything you need to plan your strategy out on the golf course. But, if you're willing to spend that money and you want the best rangefinder that money can buy, and especially if you play plenty of social golf where the added features are permitted, then the Bushnell Pro XE could be right on target for you.

With no slope mode, this laser is ideal for golfers that play in a lot of competitive rounds, something we’re doing more of with the new World Handicap System, so it's certainly one to consider if your laser rangefinder needs an upgrade and you want the best of the best in terms of optics and speed.
