All in all, this is an excellent GPS watch that provides a host of useful information to look at after your round and assess your strengths and weaknesses. The shot detection feature works well most of the time and the look and feel of the watch is second to none.

There are cheaper alternatives on the market, but none really match the unique design and durability of the Golfer 2. Once the software improvements arrive, this will be one of the top golf watches on the market, but for now it unfortunately loses a few points. Overall, the TomTom Golfer 2 is an on-course asset and only software bugs prevent it from receiving a wholehearted recommendation.

The navigation pad is still the best watch navigation tool on the market and using your palm to cover the face to add a stroke is an excellent system. These features combine with the comfortable and easy to adjust strap and make the TomTom Golfer 2 a delight to use and wear

The TomTom Golfer SE is a great quality golf watch that offers a mature and honed take on TomTom's shot detection, in an affordable package. While far from perfect, TomTom's mix of shot detection and manual scoring makes its post-round analysis with the new Golfer app much more useful, while still offering accurate distances and great detail on hazards. TomTom is back in the game.
