In terms of overall usability the Pro XE was fantastic, and the laser itself was the best I have ever used. As always with Bushnell you get a product which looks and feels premium, and performed well with quick, easy and precise yardages. Add in the new app too and you should have pretty much everything you need to plan your strategy out on the golf course. But, if you're willing to spend that money and you want the best rangefinder that money can buy, and especially if you play plenty of social golf where the added features are permitted, then the Bushnell Pro XE could be right on target for you.

I still think the Pro XE is the best rangefinder on the market. It’s sturdy, reliable, and fast. I’m not sure I can ask for much more. I’ve logged over 100 rounds with it, and still haven’t needed to change the battery – so you shouldn’t have much to worry about there. I will say there are a handful of less expensive devices that have stepped up their game. I mentioned the Precision Pro in this review earlier. The Blue Tees Series Max 3 is also a solid device for less than half the price. Neither are as good as this, but if you’re on more of a budget you still have some options that will get the job done.

Factor in the impressive range and waterproof protection along with the extra level of compensations, and you’re getting a lot of tech for your money.
